Technical Carbon Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our efforts in Natural Climate Solutions (NCS). As a Technical Carbon Manager, you will play a key role in developing and delivering a portfolio of NCS projects worldwide.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing early-stage pipeline opportunities and conducting project scoping, feasibility, and due diligence.
  • Guiding projects through the validation and verification processes for certification standards such as VCS and CCB, Gold Standard, or other domestic and jurisdictional standards.
  • Reviewing Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) protocols for NCS projects and conducting annual monitoring of reported results.

You will work closely with a diverse team of experts from around the world to apply your field experience, scientific knowledge, research skills, and innovative tools to evaluate project opportunities and guide them through design, development, and certification processes.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in forest management, ecology, natural resource management, climate science, or related fields.
  • 5-7 years of experience working on the technical development or due diligence of NCS projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in NCS carbon accounting approaches and methodologies.
  • Excellent project management and coordination skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in GIS, Remote Sensing, including land-use change modeling.
