Job Description

The Central Operations Manager is the leader of the centralized operational support team. This person is responsible for defining operational metrics goals, driving sellers to meet these goals, leading business reviews, and leading initiatives to improve seller productivity and operational excellence.

This team also coaches our partners to improve productivity, reduce errors, and invest to support growth. The Ops Manager leads a team that contacts partners' premises to inspect operational procedures and controls, inventory, and resources dedicated to Amazon.


Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Define annual goals for key metrics;
  2. Inspect metrics and lead actions to bridge gaps;
  3. Provide direction for your team;
  4. Influence external fulfillment business team and transportation team shaping strategies to improve speed, reduce cost to serve, and reduce defects;
  5. Plan headcount to support growth;
  6. Coach your team;
  7. Obtain resources and remove blockers to accomplishing goals.

A Day in the Life

You will connect with your team, define priorities, shadow them on partners visits, participate in business reviews with different audiences, manage competing priorities, solve problems, contribute to projects and improvement actions, inspect KPIs, and dive deep into defects.


About the Team

This position is part of the External Fulfillment Operations team, has six direct reports, and five peers. Our team has the highest Connections scores of Operations for three years straight. We work hard, have fun, and are making history by scaling our work at a fast pace while improving our metrics year over year.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree;
  • Advanced English;
  • Experience in Operations;
  • Experience in leading people;
  • Ability to manage through KPIs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Intermediate knowledge of SQL being capable of running and writing simple queries;
  • Experience managing an operations facility (FC, sort center, last mile station).
