We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. This role involves working with various stakeholders, including business units, vendors, and operations teams, to design, implement, and manage infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with iteration managers and vendors to drive critical projects forward in data center, wide area network, campus infrastructure, and internet transport.
- Work closely with business units, real estate, and stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate progress.
- Track project statuses, identify roadblocks, and communicate ongoing progress to stakeholders.
- Partner with operations and vendors to resolve reported issues, including incident and change management, create and manage capacity dashboards, and plan network upgrades.
- Identify end-of-life devices and plan for regular hardware renewal, including financial planning.
- Provide technical guidance to project managers and lead architecture and hardware discussions with vendors.
- Counsel and mentor less experienced team members, promoting effective teamwork and supporting related initiatives.
- Extensive experience in IT infrastructure/network engineering with certifications from major vendors.
- IT-related education (at least bachelor's level).
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to lead in a global environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Working knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
- Ability to operate network component analyzers, scanners, and testers.
- Ability to provide direction and leadership to network vendors.
- Demonstrated capability in managing simultaneous projects, crisis situations, and meeting deadlines.
- Native or fluent proficiency in English and Spanish.
