Job Description

This role will involve working with customers to understand their needs and providing them with the optimal solutions that meet those needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and be able to effectively communicate complex technical information to customers.

Essential Duties:
  1. Manage and develop relationships with customers and channel partners.
  2. Understand customer requirements and objectives, determine and deliver the optimal solution that meets their needs.
  3. Build and maintain knowledge of SEL products and teach customers about SEL technology and innovation.
  4. Develop, maintain, and deliver upon quarterly orders forecasts and sales goals.
  5. Collect, analyze, and report industry, competitor, and customer trends to the greater organization.
  6. Work collaboratively to understand and drive the resolution of customer feedbacks and product issues.
  7. Liaise between customers, contracts & risk, and accounts receivable to facilitate commercial relationships.
  8. Utilize business tools to maintain customer relationship information, opportunity tracking, and sales activities.
  9. Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operation, and World-Class Manufacturing principles.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (to qualify for Engineer title) or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in technical sales (to qualify for Professional title)
  • 3 or more years of experience in an electrical engineering or technical sales environment
  • Demonstrated success working in a customer-facing role
  • Ability to travel
  • Effective and engaging communication skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Fluent in local language and business practices
  • Background check results satisfactory to employer
  • Negative drug test result(s)
