The Role of a Privacy Manager is to oversee the development and implementation of a privacy program for Latin America. This includes policies, assessments, incident response, training, and awareness. The individual will work closely with multiple teams to ensure that new projects and products meet the requirements of relevant privacy regulations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the organization's privacy compliance program
  • Develop the company's LATAM privacy strategy, accommodating requirements from multiple laws and regulations;
  • Inform, provide recommendations and design cloud processes related to applicable data protection laws, policies, and guidelines;
  • Map processes and business systems that handle personal and sensitive data;
  • Assess procedural and systemic flows of personal and sensitive data processing and establish privacy controls;
  • Draft data privacy clauses and privacy notices for commercial agreements and contracts with external entities involved in customer and employee data processing;
  • Work with development, projects, and support teams to understand and address data protection law requirements;
  • Organize and manage their own workload to ensure deadlines are met accordingly;
  • Develop controls to comply with data protection law's requirements, ensuring they are implemented in an auditable manner;
  • Respond to internal and external audit requirements;
  • Conduct audits in critical areas;
  • Develop and implement staff awareness training programs to achieve full compliance and promote a data privacy culture;
  • Conduct risk assessments in data processing (DPIA), in line with local privacy legislation requirements, including data security, security breach, privacy since inception (privacy by design), legitimate interest, purpose limitation, and fair processing;
  • Track and keep record of all incidents, complaints, data breaches, and notification involving personal data;
  • Be a focal point and facilitator between technical and business areas for alignment and adaptation to the requirements of applicable data protection laws and regulations.
