Job Overview

This is a challenging position that requires expertise in various areas of AIX administration. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust IBM Power infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing and deploying high-performance platforms, servers, and technologies to support business operations.
  • Oversight of installation, configuration, testing, and support of IBM Power infrastructure to ensure continuous system tuning and analysis.
  • Developing and implementing software and hardware-driven technology solutions using best practices and embracing new ideas to manage the IBM Power infrastructure effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Unix Shell scripts, Python, Ansible automation, and other relevant tools.
  • Experience with IBM Power hardware and related products.
  • Expertise in AIX Operating System Maintenance, PowerVM, VIOS, Power Firmware, HMC Maintenance, GPFS Maintenance, and Systems Management agents/tools.
  • Familiarity with open-source development models, bug tracking, and source code control.
  • Knowledge of security-related technologies, such as system lockdown, cyber protection, authentication, entitlement, encryption, and modern software languages.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, quality assurance, and system performance testing skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals.
  • Understanding of cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages.
