Technical Expert - Risk Mitigation


Job Description:

As a Technical Expert in Risk Mitigation, you will play a vital role in helping our clients navigate complex risks and protect their assets. You will evaluate equipment integrity, identify hazards, and deliver targeted risk improvement solutions to reduce equipment risk.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate equipment operating standards, data sheets, and guides to provide risk guidance and implement best practices.
  • Prepare comprehensive engineering reports and loss expectancies to support risk improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop mitigation strategies for boiler and machinery risks.

This field-based role requires travel to large industrial client sites to evaluate operations and systems, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies. With significant overnight travel expected, you must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' work experience combined with bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Experience in a high-hazard industry, preferably in the Chemical industry.
  • Demonstrated understanding of basic machinery and equipment, along with hands-on exposure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office products.
  • Analytical, organized, and strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-driven and self-learning abilities.
  • Fluent spoken and written English, with Portuguese language skills preferred.
  • A valid B1/B2 USA visa is desired.
