Technical Assistance Specialist for Rural Development

">The incumbent will be working in close collaboration with the Assistant Representative in FAO Brazil - Programme, providing technical support and assistance to the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture (MDA) in the development and implementation of policies and programs aimed at strengthening family farmers in Brazil. The project aims to contribute to the national processes of rural revitalization and poverty reduction by improving the capacities of the national government, local governments, and family farmers.
The position requires a strong background in agrarian sciences or related fields, with a minimum of 08 years of experience in projects and/or programs aimed at family farming. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out analyses and evaluations of the instrument and procedures for the preparation and processing of Guidelines for Technical Assistance and Rural Extension services.
- Provide technical support in discussions with Anater about the Guidelines documents received, the processing flow of these documents, and the monitoring and inspection actions of the result indicators.
- Attend events and technical meetings with public and private entities and companies on the scope of the result indicators provided for in the execution of Ater contracts and IEPs.
- Perform analysis of the procedures carried out Dater/SAF-MDA for the analysis of the expected results and impacts of the Ater actions on the Programs.
Requirements:
- University degree in Human Sciences Agrarian or Human Sciences, according to the CAPES/CNPq table of areas of knowledge.
- Minimum experience of 08 (eight) years in projects and/or programs and/or public policies aimed at Family Farming.
- Desirable experience with Technical Assistance and Rural Extension - Ater.
- Working knowledge (level C) of English or Spanish and Portuguese.
- National of Brazil or resident in the country who has been registered by one of the RNE branches for at least one year.
