Job Title: Finance Manager

At Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro, we are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for the efficient running of the division in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Planning and Budgeting: Develop and manage the hotel's annual budget, including revenue projections, expense allocations, and capital expenditure plans.
  2. Financial Analysis and Reporting: Perform ongoing financial analysis and provide insights on key financial metrics, variances, and trends.
  3. Departmental Budgeting and Cost Control: Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets and cost control measures.
  4. Financial Forecasting and Modeling: Conduct financial forecasting and modeling to support strategic initiatives and identify potential risks or opportunities.
  5. Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  6. Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, corporate policies, and local regulatory requirements.
  7. Internal and External Audits: Coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules.
  8. Financial Operations and Control: Monitor and maintain proper internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  9. Team Supervision: Supervise the finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  10. Financial Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data through regular reconciliations and audits.
Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  2. Language Skills: Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.
  3. Experience: Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  4. Knowledge: Knowledge of local tax laws and regulatory requirements related to finance and accounting.
  5. Cultural Competence: Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
  6. Computer Skills: Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
