Operational Risk Database Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Operational Risk Database Specialist to join our team.

This is a critical role in shaping and scaling our Operational Risk Database (BDRO) globally, driving innovation in quantitative non-financial risk management.

Your mission is to deliver a regulatory-compliant BDRO that evolves into a global risk data platform. You will lead on architecture, dataset design, controls, indicators, and models that enable smarter, data-driven decision-making across risk teams worldwide.

  • Design, develop, and deploy the Operational Risk Database, ensuring alignment with regulatory and internal frameworks.
  • Assess and enhance BDRO architecture for scalability and compliance.
  • Translate complex data models into clear, structured datasets that meet regulatory standards.
  • Design and implement data quality controls and governance mechanisms.
  • Integrate multiple data sources to create key indicators and risk models.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members.
  • Champion technical excellence and best practices within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality data pipelines and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and scalability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

  • Strong foundation in analytics engineering, data modeling, and advanced analysis techniques.
  • Experience with Big Data and large-scale distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in Python, Scala, or similar languages.
  • Solid understanding of deployment pipelines and CI/CD.
  • Hands-on experience with data platforms and tools (e.g., Databricks, AWS, Soda).
  • A solid grasp of risk management principles and the skill to turn complex analysis into clear, actionable strategies.
