Boiler Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking an experienced engineer to evaluate equipment integrity and reliability, identify hazards, and deliver risk improvement solutions.

The successful candidate will leverage their engineering expertise to prevent potential disasters, saving property and businesses. They will work with influential organizations to understand risks and protect assets.

This is a field-based role requiring travel to large industrial client sites to evaluate operations, identify risks, and hazards. Expected overnight travel is 75 to 100 nights per year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the integrity and reliability of equipment, identify hazards, and deficiencies, and deliver risk improvement solutions.
  • Use operating standards, data sheets, and guides to provide risk guidance and implement best practices.
  • Prepare engineering reports and loss expectancies to support risk improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with Operations Engineering, Client Services, Account Management, and Underwriting on Boiler & Machinery recommendations.
  • Manage time effectively and work independently from a home office setting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years' work experience in a relevant field.
  • Based in the Sao Paulo area.
  • Experience in high-hazard industries, preferably in the Chemical sector.
  • Hands-on experience with machinery and equipment.
  • Strong communication skills, proficiency in MS Office.
  • Analytical, organized, with problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-driven with self-learning capabilities.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); Portuguese is preferred.
  • A valid B1/B2 USA visa is desirable.
