Job Description:

This role involves evaluating the integrity and reliability of equipment, identifying hazards and deficiencies to deliver focused risk improvement solutions and reduce equipment risk.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering with a concentration in either electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering, along with a minimum of 5 years' work experience.

">

They should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in MS Office products, and be analytical, organized and have good problem solving and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate equipment to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies">
  • Utilize operating standards, data sheets and guides to provide risk guidance and implement best practices">
  • Prepare engineering reports and loss expectancies to support risk improvement initiatives">
  • Collaborate with operations engineering, client services, account management and underwriting on boiler & machinery recommendations">
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively">
  • Travel to industrial client sites to evaluate operations and systems, identifying risks and hazards">

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a concentration in electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering">
  • Minimum 5 years' work experience in engineering, preferably in a high hazard industry">
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in MS Office products and analytical skills">
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage time effectively and travel frequently">
  • Fluent English language skills, with Portuguese preferred">
  • A valid visa for the USA is desired">
