Job Title: Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a Risk Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and managing an active pipeline through prospecting, client calls, needs analysis, risk assessments, and tailored solutions to meet clients' needs.

The primary focus of this role is generating new sales to existing and prospective clients, with success measured by winning and retaining new business and meeting or exceeding established sales targets. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing proposals and presentations using marketing resources and collaboration with practice groups and other producers.
  • Designing individual prospect sales strategies and developing unique prospect programs.
  • Aligning with individual client sales strategies.
  • Conducting thorough needs analysis and risk assessment to identify clients' unique coverage needs.
  • Providing consultative advice on key risk areas.
  • Identifying and closing potential cross-sell opportunities.

Candidate management involves maintaining consistent and high-quality touchpoints through phone and face-to-face interactions, advocating for clients' interests, and participating in stewardship meetings. Pipeline management includes identifying prospects for business, developing new relationships, obtaining referral leads, and aggressively pursuing cross-selling opportunities.

This role also involves people management, including providing annual input for team members' performance reviews, offering timely and quality feedback, and assisting team members in acquiring new skills.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Valid State-relevant insurance license(s).
  • Prior experience working for or with financial institutions or professional services firms.
  • Proven track record of successful pipeline development, delivery of effective sales strategies, and reputation as a client-centric sales professional.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of selling principles, value propositions, sales marketing strategies, and technical knowledge of insurance and risk management products.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and think critically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
