Job Title: Principal Professional, Human Resources

Job Summary:

The New Development Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Professional, Human Resources to join its team. This role will be responsible for providing authoritative advice and guidance on human resources management, organizational development, and staff engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement effective organizational structures and workforce planning strategies to promote clear reporting lines, decision-making processes, and efficient information flow.
  2. Determine the optimal grouping of functions, departments, and teams to support the organization's operations and strategy.
  3. Develop and lead the implementation of innovative organizational development programs that address emerging priorities.
  4. Assist in the implementation of the competency framework, aligning it with the bank's general strategy and integrating it into talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, and other HR areas.
  5. Identify and address gaps or misalignments between the current and desired organizational culture.
  6. Develop and implement strategic plans to facilitate cultural transformation and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  1. Master's Degree or equivalent in Human Resources or a relevant field from a recognized university.
  2. Relevant certification/s from globally recognized certification agencies in the related field would be preferred.
  3. 9-12 years of relevant HR work experience in a multilateral development bank, international development sector, or private sector.
  4. In-depth experience in Organizational Design and Development.
  5. Good communication skills, fluent in English, with the ability to convey complex information in an engaging way.
  6. Relevant experience in a multicultural or international development work environment.
  7. Demonstrated experience in working with and influencing management and other stakeholders on HR matters.
  8. Demonstrated capacity gained through experience in performance management, reward, compensation and benefits, job evaluation and organizational development.
  9. Very strong analytical skills, with MS Excel and HR systems (SAP HR desirable).
