Job Title: Senior Installation Engineering Specialist

The role of a Senior Installation Engineering Specialist involves the interpretation and analysis of complex installation issues. As a senior specialist, you will be responsible for resolving these challenges through the implementation of best practices and expert recommendations.

This position requires strong analytical skills, as well as the ability to lead functional teams and projects independently with minimal guidance. You must have in-depth knowledge of installation engineering principles and broad expertise within the discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct conceptual, FEED, and detailed analyses and design according to project specifications, design codes, and standards.
  • Apply technical skills and business knowledge to address complex problems and non-standard situations.
  • Prepare accurate and clear design calculations, analyses, including reports and procedures.
  • Manage time to meet objectives and forecast resource requirements.
  • Communicate complex concepts and persuade others to adopt a particular viewpoint.

Functional Team Lead Roles:

  • Direct an Engineering team.
  • Lead Discipline engineering design of assigned work area.
  • Complete tasks within planned schedule and budget, adhering to standards and project-specific procedures.

Project Execution Skills:

  • Plan, organize, and direct all aspects of Discipline execution on the assigned project.
  • Agree manpower allocations with Discipline Manager.
  • Identify interfaces and deliverables clearly.
  • Maintain progress and productivity, identifying required corrective actions.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Act as project representative for Discipline during meetings.
  • Interface with other disciplines to develop clash-free designs.
  • Document substantive communications.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 15-20 years of experience in oil and gas, predominantly performing construction and installation design.
  • Detailed knowledge of design techniques and analysis methods.
  • Knowledgeable in project coordination and execution skills.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of a professional engineering society.
