Job Opportunity

This role involves leading product design by providing technical leadership, planning, coordinating, coding, and testing to deliver functionality of a complicated nature on the complete product or products it supports.

Main Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking a software development professional with expertise in analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement to develop existing and new applications.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in monitoring, identifying, and correcting complex software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software.
  • Candidates should be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams to conceptualize products and services, leveraging data to drive original design ideas and decisions.
  • A successful software engineer in this role will design and oversee the functionality, usability, and accessibility of business-critical portals/websites using content creation and management tools as well as digital media to ensure that technical continuity is maintained and development standards are met.
  • The position requires the ability to discuss and recommend technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/applications software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users' needs.
  • Contribution to and maintenance of a roadmap to facilitate application software development and ensuring the development work is prioritized in line with business requirements is also necessary.
  • Fault isolation and resolution for complex challenges must be addressed promptly to limit issues.
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering small- or medium-scale projects while working within an established program management plan.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent fields.
  • Advanced English language proficiency with broad vocabulary, strong grammar, and the ability to lead meetings, argue, negotiate, and conduct training sessions.
  • Experience as a developer, writing code for multiple applications (NodeJS, TypeScript, Python).
  • DevOps practices or Extreme Programming (XP) as part of development experience.
  • Application operations and infrastructure management experience.
  • Cloud solution providers (such as AWS) hosting applications and services experience.
  • APIs consumption and writing experience.
  • Developer community experience.
