Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead our Underwriting Team in the evaluation of insurance applicants. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to pursuing board certification in Insurance Medicine.
About the Job
The Medical Director will be responsible for reviewing medical records, interpreting ECGs and laboratory results, and providing consultative support to the Underwriting Team. They will develop medical underwriting guidelines, collaborate with underwriters to determine risk categories, and contribute to regulatory and compliance efforts.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a medical degree (MD/DO or equivalent), be licensed to practice in a U.S. state, and possess a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications
In addition to the requirements listed above, we prefer candidates who possess board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, experience as a life insurance Medical Director, and strong computer skills. Certification in other medical specialties will also be considered.
