Senior Legal Counsel - Key Role in Employment Law

About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Legal Counsel to lead our employment law practice. As a key member of our leadership team, you will provide expert counsel on labor laws, regulations, and best practices.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on labor laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Advise business leaders and HR teams on workforce strategy, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead collective bargaining negotiations with labor unions, ensuring alignment with company objectives and local legislation.
  • Draft, review, and update employment contracts, policies, and employee documentation.
  • Develop and deliver training for management on labor law compliance and collective bargaining strategies.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in labor legislation, proactively advising on potential impacts and strategic responses.
  • Manage employment-related disputes, grievances, and disciplinary actions, minimizing risk for the company.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law; postgraduate specialization in Employment Law or Labor Relations is highly desirable.
  • Admitted to practice law in Brazil.
  • Strong experience (PQE) focused exclusively on employment law, preferably within a multinational or technology-driven environment.
  • Proven track record in leading collective bargaining negotiations and union relations.
  • Strong knowledge of Brazilian labor legislation, jurisprudence, and regulatory landscape.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in Portuguese; professional proficiency in English is required.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively across diverse teams.
