About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate culinary support professional to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality meal services to our residents.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook nutritious meals daily for our residents, adhering to strict food hygiene and health & safety standards.
  2. Client Consultations: Engage with residents to understand their dietary needs and preferences, creating personalized menus that cater to their requirements.
  3. Culinary Planning: Collaborate with residents to design menus that accommodate cultural, health, and dietary requirements.
  4. Supply Management: Order, purchase, and store food supplies efficiently, maintaining accurate records.
  5. Financial Management: Manage income and expenditure receipts according to established procedures.
  6. Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food hygiene and health & safety standards.
  7. Training and Development: Support new staff members, volunteers, and casual workers on kitchen safety protocols.
  8. Communication: Report any concerns about residents related to the meals service to the Manager.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A genuine interest in supporting older people.
  • Experience in catering or food preparation.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
