The role of Associate Editor, Markets involves spearheading the enhancement of market reporting capabilities within the Brazilian power sector.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain comprehensive daily coverage of the Brazilian power markets, delivering timely and accurate assessments to stakeholders.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify expansion opportunities within Latin America, focusing on areas with high growth potential.
- Collaborate closely with the natural gas team to support their initiatives in Brazil, providing valuable insights and analysis to drive business growth.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders on various initiatives related to power, gas, and energy transition in Brazil, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Economics, Finance, or Environmental Science.
- Fluency in Portuguese and proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of power markets and pricing mechanisms, including the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Familiarity with market analysis or reporting within the energy sector is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of the regulatory environments governing power and energy markets in Brazil, including compliance requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, managing multiple tasks and prioritizing responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including vendors, customers, and colleagues.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn in a dynamic market environment, with a demonstrated interest in renewable energy trends and technologies.
- Understanding of the cultural and economic factors influencing the energy markets in Latin America.
