Are you passionate about leading a team and growing the next generation of engineers? Do you have a strong track record of developing and mentoring software developers?

This is an exciting opportunity for a leader to join our company and be responsible for managing a globally distributed team of engineers. You will work closely with Product Management to define the vision and strategy for our product and develop talent through coaching, mentoring, feedback and hands-on career development.

As a successful applicant, you will be knowledgeable and passionate about software development, have 3+ years of experience in leading, managing, coaching and mentoring software developers, and be focused on success and the delivery of timely, high-quality software.

The ideal candidate will also have experience working in an agile development environment, a Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM or similar degree, strong written and verbal technical communication skills in English, and practical experience with a modern GNU/Linux distribution, Debian or Ubuntu preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and lead a globally distributed team of engineers
  • Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, feedback and hands-on career development
  • Work with Product Management to define the vision and strategy for our product
  • Effectively set and manage expectations with other engineering teams, senior management, and external stakeholders
  • Advocate and advance modern, agile software development practices
  • Grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with our company values
Requirements:
  • Passionate about leading a team and growing the next generation of engineers
  • Strong track record of developing and mentoring software developers
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about software development
  • 3+ years of experience in leading, managing, coaching and mentoring software developers
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM or similar degree
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills in English
  • Practical experience with a modern GNU/Linux distribution, Debian or Ubuntu preferred
