Job Overview

As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and quality of clinical trials. This includes conducting studies in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as obtaining Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals.


You will work under the guidance and supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) to ensure that all aspects of the clinical trial are conducted in a professional and timely manner.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with study protocol and provide training for site coordinators
  • Coordinate and manage the clinical trials program
  • Provide direction in auditing and monitoring activities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary researchers to establish research programs
  • Develop and conduct patient and family education
  • Assist in identifying and writing research grants, publications, and study materials
  • Conduct ongoing training of clinical trials staff

Requirements
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, CNOR preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Four years of research nursing experience or two years of clinical nursing experience in a related specialty and two years of research nursing experience
  • Certified Research Administrator (CRA) or Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) preferred
