Parametric Innovation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Parametric Underwriter and Product Manager. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping our parametric insurance offerings, leveraging your expertise to develop innovative solutions that address emerging risks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting, developing, and marketing parametric products that meet the evolving needs of clients. You will work closely with global reinsurance teams to identify opportunities and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite NatCat and weather-based parametric covers with precision and market awareness
• Market and sell Swiss Re parametric products to diverse client segments
• Develop and standardize our parametric product offerings in collaboration with peers in cat modeling to ensure consistency and scalability
• Analyze market trends and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the end-to-end (re)insurance value chain
• Drive innovation in Swiss Re parametric tools and data capabilities, including training, global rollout, and adoption
• Engage with treaty clients and brokers to build strong relationships and identify opportunities
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a proactive, transparent, and timely manner

About You

We are looking for a talented professional with a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving innovation. If you have a solid understanding of reinsurance underwriting principles and pricing methodologies, and experience working with satellite imagery and meteorological datasets, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements:

• University degree in a quantitative discipline
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in insurance product development, parametric underwriting, marketing, and sales
• Solid understanding of reinsurance underwriting principles and pricing methodologies
• Practical experience working with satellite imagery and meteorological datasets
• Experience in pricing NatCat parametric products
• Advanced-level programming expertise in Python and/or R
• Experience in AI driving product innovation and automation

• Additional language fluency beyond excellent English communication skills
• Experience working in international, cross-functional teams
• Project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities
