  • We are looking for a highly skilled Well Test Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in offshore well testing and completions operations.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, planning, assessing, and executing deep water well test programs to achieve well test objectives.
  • Key responsibilities include pre-planning all well test activities, preparing the full testing services scope of work, budgeting, contractor evaluation during tender process, writing all well test basis of design, well test engineering proposals, and well test programs following API standards and procedures.
  • The candidate will also identify and procure interface requirements at an early stage of well test design/planning, including smart well test design, flow assurance, sand design, advanced PLT, interference test, wireless data acquisition, installation of PDG, CTU, N2, slick line, BHS, DST, TCP, well testing, subsea electro-hydraulic systems, PVT sampling, flow assurance, sand control.
  • Additionally, the candidate will regularly assess testing operations associated risks, update and highlight the risks to management in writing, develop contingencies and ERP for well test operations, take MOC when required, and be responsible for overall safety of well test operations.
  • Other key responsibilities include identifying and leading well test specific project risk assessments and HAZOP/HAZID risk assessments, providing fit-for-purpose solutions, monitoring well test supervisors offshore, including installation of burner booms and re-certification, load testing, contractor's QAQC, certification verification, checklist for DW testing operations, prepare and implement pre-flow checklists, develop offline activities on dual derrick rigs to optimize rig time and cost optimization.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • A minimum of twelve years of experience in offshore well testing and completions operations.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in deep-water well testing operations (water depth > 1000 ft).
  • A minimum of three years of experience in international operations at supervisor/senior engineer level supporting testing/completions operations.
  • Availability to go to rig sites as required.
  • Valid BOSIET certification.
  • Fluent in English language (writing and speaking).
  • BOSIET and IWCF Well Intervention Certificate Course (subsea supervisor level).
  • Specific skills required: Well Cat, Prosper/Wellflo/Olga, Basic well test interpretation, flow assurance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
