Job Title: Medical Field Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Field Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with clinical trial sites, investigators, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Medical Support: Offer field-based medical support to clinical research programs, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality results.
  • Present Scientific Information: Deliver credible presentations on scientific matters in designated disease areas and company pipeline to investigators in company-sponsored interventional research.
  • Engage with Clinical Sites: Engage with clinical trial site investigators and staff to understand enrollment/screening barriers from a medical perspective and work with the site and client to find potential medical solutions.
  • Support Development Teams: Support clinical development and operations teams through site recommendations, initiation visits, facilitation of communication, and accrual support activities.
  • Exchange Information: Exchange scientific information with external parties in an accurate, fair, and balanced manner.
  • Report Intelligence: Report field intelligence to clients including competitive information, perspectives about compounds, and the treatment landscape.
  • Maintain Relationships: Establish and maintain close working relationships with site management & monitoring staff to facilitate the initiation and conduct of prioritized clinical trials.
  • Provide Education: Support clinical study sites with knowledge and training on diseases, treatments, modes of action, and new data on investigational molecules in a compliant manner.
  • Consult with Experts: Consult with physicians, pharmacists, and other medical professionals to refer appropriate patients to clinical trial sites and review clinical practice topics as requested by investigators or referring sites.
  • Represent Company: Act as the point of contact with thought leaders for investigator-initiated study ideas within company pipeline assets.
  • Facilitate Collaboration: Participate in site selection processes to identify qualified external experts for collaborative efforts.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure all activities and interactions are conducted with due regard to local, global, and national laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, and accepted standards of best practice.
Requirements:
  • Medical Degree: Must hold a medical degree (MD or equivalent).
  • Clinical Experience: Possess relevant clinical experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of clinical trials, medical sciences, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
