A senior accounting professional is sought after to lead a team of accountants in the delivery of virtual outsourced services. This leadership role involves managing a group of skilled accountants and providing controllership services to clients.

Your Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of multiple clients, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements are prepared and submitted. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures, providing strategic leadership in scalable accounting operations, and preparing client budgets, cash forecasts, and monthly financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive accounting policies and procedures that ensure compliance with federal regulations and industry standards.
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic guidance on scalable accounting operations, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing process changes as needed.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and manage client budgets, cash forecasts, and monthly financial reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Closing Management: Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Professional Certifications: Active CPA, CMA, or MBA with 10-15 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Industry Expertise: Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience and 5 years of private industry experience.
  • Government Contracting: Knowledge of FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements, including experience working in government contracting industries.
