Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled professional to assume the role of Latam Risk Manager, responsible for overseeing and managing risk indicators related to financial risks in countries within the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily monitoring of key risk indicators (KRIs) associated with financial risks, including capital, market, and liquidity risk.
  • Developing financial risk indicators, reports, and policies, encompassing foreign exchange exposure, value-at-risk, intraday exposure, liquidity buffer, loan-to-value ratio, Basel Index, and regulatory capital requirements.
  • Implementing automated and robust processes for risk monitoring and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
  • Preparing prudential and regulatory reports for countries within the Latam region, focusing on financial risks.
  • Conducting short- and long-term stress testing, as well as developing wind-down plans and prudential forecasts.
  • Establishing and implementing metrics for evaluating and controlling financial risks, in line with industry best practices and group methodologies.
Requirements:
  • Background in engineering, economics, statistics, or mathematics, with prior experience in fintechs and financial institutions.
  • Experience working with financial risk management frameworks, specifically Basel III/IV.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including macro and VBA scripting.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL programming languages.
  • Experience in working with financial risk regulatory requirements, including compliance and governance.
  • Fluent English and Spanish language skills, with strong communication abilities (written and verbal).
