About the Role

Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Global Humanitarian Team (GHT) as a Protection Partnership & Network Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and lead advocacy and campaign strategies to promote the protection of civilians in conflict and compliance with International Humanitarian Law (IHL).
  • Develop and maintain inclusive networks with national, regional, and international actors to advance humanitarian diplomacy and policy development.
  • Support national and local protection actors to change power dynamics within the international humanitarian system for greater inclusion and accountability.
  • Represent Oxfam at high-level meetings and events, demonstrating strategic thinking and judgment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement projects that promote gender equality, social change, and women's rights.
Requirements
  • Excellent understanding of humanitarian diplomacy, advocacy, influencing, and policy development on IHL and the protection of civilians.
  • Experience in creating, supporting, or participating in inclusive networks with mixed membership of national, regional, and international actors.
  • Commitment to supporting national and local protection actors and changing power dynamics within the international humanitarian system for greater inclusion and accountability.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and judgment, and experience in high-level representation.
  • Understanding of intersectional gender and power dynamics and awareness of decolonisation of aid, racial justice, and equitable partnerships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and ability to work effectively in different cultural contexts.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; strong preference for proficiency in French.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Oxfam's values, mission, and work, as well as global justice, social change, women's rights, and gender equality.
