Role Overview

In the capacity of a Sales Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with the Sales Team to facilitate both technical pre-sales and post-sales initiatives that enhance every facet of the sales process. You will engage directly with partners and clients to thoroughly comprehend their needs in Cyber Security, Data Protection, and Disaster Recovery, subsequently articulating the features and advantages of suitable Acronis solutions to foster the adoption of our offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire and sustain an in-depth understanding of Acronis products and services, as well as the competitive landscape, while remaining informed about significant industry advancements to effectively address customer inquiries.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and influencers within potential accounts, focusing on continuous discovery, gap analysis, and the development of new opportunities.
  • Evaluate the technical and business requirements of prospective partners and customers, including market strategies, security protocols, compliance, and data protection policies.
  • Craft business proposals that outline Acronis solutions tailored to identified business, regulatory, and internal requirements, and prepare responses to RFIs and RFPs.
  • Participate in both onsite and remote meetings with potential customers and partners as a senior technology expert, conducting demonstrations and promoting Acronis products throughout the sales cycle.
  • Deliver engaging presentations to customers, partners, and public audiences regarding Acronis' technology and solutions, positioning compelling offerings that address customers' business challenges beyond mere technical specifications.
  • Facilitate and oversee customer evaluations and proof of concept activities for Acronis solutions, addressing technical issues and driving resolution during the pre-sales phase.
  • Provide valuable customer and market insights to Product Management, Engineering, Customer Service, and other relevant teams within Acronis.
  • Conduct training sessions for partners and facilitate hands-on demonstrations and knowledge transfer of Acronis solutions to customers and channel partners.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer, supporting sales efforts and designing customer solutions.
  • Experience ideally centered around SaaS, Security, Cloud, or Hosting Services, with a preference for candidates familiar with storage and/or backup software and hardware.
  • Technical expertise should encompass knowledge of various areas, including IT Storage software, computing architectures, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Familiarity with virtualization and cloud computing platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of IT security concepts and fundamentals, with experience in IT system or network administration.
  • Self-driven, customer-focused, resourceful, and enthusiastic, exhibiting a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Excellent listening skills, creativity, and intuition, with the ability to resolve issues in potentially high-pressure situations.
  • Confident and assertive, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within diverse teams.
  • Strong project management skills with effective time and resource management capabilities.
  • Articulate and persuasive communicator, adept at discussing and negotiating technical issues, complemented by exceptional presentation skills.
  • Ability to quickly absorb specialized knowledge and develop new skills.
  • Capability to translate customer business requirements into technical solutions that deliver tangible benefits.
  • Fluency in English.
