Data Engineering Lead

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Lead to join our team. This role will involve designing, implementing, and deploying highly scalable and efficient data architectures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in programming, a keen understanding of data integration and management, and experience working with cloud-based large-scale data solutions.

Responsibilities will include mentoring junior data engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and evaluating new technologies and tools to improve data integration and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement data architectures that meet business needs for delivering a modern analytics solution (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive)
  • Mentor and guide junior/mid-level data engineers
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve data integration, data processing, and analysis
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Scientists, and Analysts to understand data requirements and develop data solutions
  • Take ownership of storage layer, data management tasks, including schema design, indexing, and performance tuning
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of real-world data engineering development experience in AWS and GCP
  • Strong expertise in Python, SQL, PySpark, and AWS
  • Senior person who can understand requirements and design end-to-end solutions with minimal oversight
