Senior Communications Lead

The successful candidate will be a key member of our global communications team and play a strategic role in promoting the impact of our Brazil-based initiative.

This leadership position will focus on elevating subnational climate leadership in Brazil by shaping public, political, and partner narratives through effective communication strategies.

  • We are looking for a seasoned professional to design, manage, and deliver communications initiatives that align with our global messaging and values.
  • Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and executing communications campaigns for key milestones, diplomatic engagements, and implementation results.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong editorial and writing skills, with experience in creating engaging content for diverse audiences.
  • A solid network of trusted relationships with Brazilian journalists, editors, and media influencers is essential for this role.

The appointed individual will serve as the primary communications liaison, coordinating outputs with municipal partners, stakeholders, and programme teams across multiple cities and governance levels.

We seek an experienced professional who can demonstrate a proven track record in developing and implementing effective communications strategies, particularly in the areas of climate change, urban issues, or public affairs.

In addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ideal candidate will possess strong project management capabilities, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a global team.
