Project Manager Job Description

This position is responsible for managing capital projects in accordance with organizational policies and standards. The incumbent will ensure project goals and timelines are met efficiently and cost-effectively, overseeing vendor performance and serving as the primary liaison to partner entities.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, develop, administer, and coordinate new or revised project goals and objectives
  2. Manage projects to leadership-approved goals, timelines, and budgets
  3. Develop and schedule project work plans in accordance with specifications, objectives, and funding limitations
  4. Coordinate project activities through delegation of assignments to project team members and contractors
  5. Manage assembly and onboarding of project team, including University partners and contractors

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5-10 years of related work experience
  • 12 years of related work experience may be substituted in lieu of educational qualifications
  • Experience in academic and/or health care capital project management strongly preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certified
  • 30-hour OSHA certified
