The Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance

This is a public-private initiative that identifies, develops, and launches innovative climate finance instruments to drive private investment into climate change mitigation and adaptation in emerging economies. Since 2014, we have launched 49 financial instruments mobilizing over $2.5 billion in investment.

Job Summary:

This position will work closely with colleagues across offices worldwide and directly with external stakeholders and media. The Communications Specialist will create and edit various materials such as presentations, fact sheets, videos, blog posts, newsletters, and marketing materials targeted at multiple global and local audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and edit materials for multiple global and local audiences.
  • Support the development of media pitches and carry out outreach efforts.
  • Manage and maintain social media accounts.
  • Create and update content for our website.
  • Support our contact relationship management process.
  • Help measure and assess communications KPIs.
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining a knowledge base of reference materials and information for staff.

Requirements:

  • Progressive experience or demonstrable equivalent skills in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, policy, economics, international development, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent English writing and editing skills.
  • Experience writing in various formats.
  • Experience with media outreach and public relations.
  • Experience in event management and managing stakeholder relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with global and Brazil, LatAm, or Africa media.
  • Experience with the financial press.

Desirable Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
