Assembly Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories.

Main Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a wide range of assembly equipment and machinery.
• Assemble and package products with high accuracy and quality.
• Learn and apply advanced skills such as product rework, machine maintenance, and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Assembly experience and/or skills required.
• Ability to work within established safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Ability to work within minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes in assigned area.
• Basic knowledge of department's production business system.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.

Desirable Qualifications

• Advanced assembly experience.

Physical Requirements

• Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 40 pounds frequently.
• Sit and/or stand at least 8 hours.
• Vision correctable to 20/30 or better.
• Differentiate color.
• Reach.
• Bend.
• Kneel.
• Twist.
• Grip.
• Pinch.
• Fine finger dexterity sufficient to handle and place parts with precision and accuracy for at least 8 hours.
