Senior Cryptography and Security Specialist

Description

This is a unique opportunity to utilize your software engineering and cryptography skills in building and maintaining the security foundation that enables secure operations and compliance with international information security standards.

You will work on enhancing the Ubuntu distribution and collaborating with organizations such as DISA and CIS to draft and implement security hardening benchmarks. Your responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with other engineers to achieve and retain various Security certifications
  • Enhancing Linux cryptographic components (OpenSSL, Libgcrypt, GnuTLS, and others) with required features and functionality
  • Collaborating with external security consultants to test and validate kernel and crypto module components
  • Working with external partners to develop security hardening benchmarks and audit + remediation automation for Ubuntu

We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in low-level Linux cryptography APIs, excellent software engineering fundamentals, and demonstrated knowledge of security and cryptography fundamentals. Additionally, you should have prior experience working with open source libraries and excellent verbal and written communications skills.
