The Medical Assistant role is designed to support Physicians in the delivery of patient care, ensuring examination rooms, medical/surgical supplies, and equipment are maintained in optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for medical appointments, obtaining and recording vital signs to facilitate efficient care.
- Organize and prepare instruments and equipment for examinations and/or medical procedures.
- Assist Physicians with examinations and medical procedures, promoting a safe and effective environment.
- Clean and dress wounds, removing sutures as requested by a Physician to prevent complications.
- Monitor patients' responses to treatment and report any adverse reactions to medical personnel.
- Collect samples and deliver them to the laboratory for analysis.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility of materials, instruments, equipment, rooms, and supplies.
- Manage inventory and requisition necessary supplies to ensure seamless operations.
- Associate's degree in Medical Technology, Nursing, or a related field.
- Certification or Registration as a Medical Technologist is required.
