Sales Account Manager

Rakuten Travel Xchange is seeking a highly skilled Sales Account Manager to join our team in Brazil - South America. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with existing partners, as well as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to distribute our accommodation inventory in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • New Business Development: Identify and target prospective clients with a strong presence in the market, conduct thorough market research to understand client needs and industry trends, and assess and evaluate potential partners to ensure they meet our criteria for partnership.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty, understand client goals and challenges to provide tailored solutions, and serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and concerns.
  • Account Management: Develop and implement upselling strategies to increase booking volume within existing accounts, regularly assess account performance, and provide regular reports on sales performance, client feedback, and market trends.
  • Internal Stakeholder Management: Work closely with internal teams to solve issues, identify opportunities for synergy and enhanced efficiency, and foster a culture of collaboration and open communication.
Requirements:
  • Graduate with an associate's degree or higher.
  • Excellent oral and written proficiency in English and Portuguese.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the Travel/Accommodation industry.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce and XML/API integrations is highly advantageous.
  • Strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Outstanding analytical and numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel when necessary.

  • Adaptable and flexible with a genuine desire to provide assistance and support to both clients and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of the industry and experience in B2B sales, with a background in Travel wholesale or OTA or Travel Tech.
