Business Process and Data Governance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Business Process and Data Governance Specialist to join our Finance Data Management group. This role will play a key part in facilitating and evolving the execution of global master data management in our systems.

This position will partner across the business and data management teams to drive standardized and efficient data management processes and governance with a focus on controls. The ideal candidate will enjoy collaborating with other associates and team members, leveraging strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage an ongoing queue of requests for counterparty master data, ensuring that all requests are valid, accurate, and completed within service level agreements.
  • Evaluate process needs and collaborate with data team members, businesses, and IT to identify efficiencies in achieving automation, standardization, and continuous process improvement.
  • Manage and lead projects to improve processes and data quality, identifying issues, root causes, and gaps.
  • Lead and guide team members to implement enterprise best practices, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Coach and align associates with data work and projects, ensuring optimal support and service.
  • Participate in technology decisions to enable and enhance data governance processes and data quality monitoring by performing requirements analysis and testing.
  • Develop and grow strong cross-functional relationships to ensure the achievement of department and business objectives, navigating complex issues and change management through collaboration and communication.
  • Collaborate with Internal Controls and other stakeholders to effectively manage controls and mitigate risks.
  • Develop, monitor, and present key performance indicators and service level agreements to leadership depicting opportunities for improvement and measures of success.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information systems, or related business field.
  • 7+ years of experience working in finance, data governance, data administration, or data-related field or equivalent business experience.
  • 2+ years of experience supervising and leading a team.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English.
