We are seeking an Applied Scientist to join our International Technology Team in Sao Paulo. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and leveraging the scalability and innovation of Amazon's AWS cloud services.

About the Role
  • Define and own complex machine learning solutions in the consumer space, including targeting, measurement, creative optimization, and multivariate testing.
  • Influence the broader team's approach to integrating machine learning into business workflows.
  • Advise senior leadership, both tech and non-tech.
  • Make technical trade-offs between short-term needs and long-term goals.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience.
  • PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience.
  • Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
  • Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.
  • Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy etc.
  • Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark etc.

What You Will Need
  • Experience: 3+ years of building machine learning models for business applications or PhD/Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience.
  • Skills: Experience with machine learning, programming languages (Java, C++, Python), neural deep learning methods, and modeling tools (R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow).
  • Distributed Systems: Experience with large-scale distributed systems (Hadoop, Spark).
