Job Title: Energy Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced energy professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the energy sector, excellent analytical skills, and strong communication abilities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping our position as a leading advisor and thought leader in Latin America, with a strong focus on Brazil.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide in-depth analysis and insights on the energy sector, working closely with case teams to deliver high-impact results.
  • Act as a thought partner to case teams and sector leaders, helping to structure and solve complex challenges.
  • Manage and process industry analysis requests, assisting consultants with industry-specific problems.
  • Gather, filter, synthesize, package, and deliver insights to the energy practice area.
  • Work on content pieces with a special focus on Brazil market-specific expertise, including industry trends, local and regional competitive landscape, benchmarks, and mapping key industry players.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in industrial engineering or another relevant field; advanced degrees like economics or physics are also accepted.
  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of 1+ year of consulting experience or 2+ years of relevant industry work experience in energy.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English is required; other languages, particularly Spanish, are a plus.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders while working in a global collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel with experience using large models.
  • Deep knowledge of key energy sector databases in Brazil, including auction data, plant technical specs, and load, generation, supply, and demand figures.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools and experience with Python and tools like GitHub Copilot for research, task automation, data processing, and integration with AI APIs is a plus.
