About the RoleThis position offers a unique opportunity to drive the growth of our external development management team by providing mentorship and guidance. You will work closely with leadership to understand, determine, and deliver on external development needs for co-development across all Epic first-party games.
- Develop a vision for successful co-dev practices at Epic based on your AAA games experience and deep understanding of development best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to negotiate contract terms with external vendors and ensure industry standard rates for services.
- Forecast and manage budgets, identifying opportunities to streamline costs, improve processes, and increase efficiency.
- Manage contracts, invoice approvals, onboarding, handoff to internal teams, and resource ramp-up for external teams.
- Prioritize and follow through on multiple competing elements of work across groups with varying interests.
- 8+ years of experience in external development/outsourcing, preferably for AAA games.
- Demonstrated understanding of game development process and integration of external developers into fast-paced projects.
- Highly organized, self-driven, goal-oriented, and great team player.
