Business Banking Counsel

Business Banking Legal professionals support the firm's small business lending and deposit business by providing legal services within the Consumer and Community Banking Legal Group.
Key Responsibilities- Handling escalations sent to the Business Banking legal team,
- Completing legal research,
- Assisting senior team members with a wide range of business requests and regulatory projects,
- Being organized, attentive to detail, exercising sound decision-making, and escalating issues when appropriate,
- Thriving in a high-paced, deadline-driven environment with timely execution of high-quality work products,
- Assisting with legal issues related to commercial lending, including Small Business Administration (SBA) lending, and U.S. small business deposits,
- Drafting or editing certain client-facing communications,
- Assisting with regulatory and legal research, including review of Regulation B issues,
- Identifying potential issues and working with senior team members and appropriate business partners to provide solutions,
- Updating and reviewing updates to internal policies and procedures,
- Assisting with drafting documents and disclosures, including reviewing legal requirements for new provisions,
- Representing the Business Banking legal perspective on firmwide and Consumer and Community Banking projects,
The successful candidate will provide legal support that primarily concerns laws and regulations within the United States and will support the Firm's small business lending, deposit, and regulatory practices.
