Job Description

A Dry Blend Operator is responsible for executing a range of tasks to support production operations.

This includes filling in-stock orders and maintaining accurate inventory records according to established procedures and guidelines.

The role also involves performing simple, manual tasks as part of the production process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare unused raw materials for return to the main warehouse from blend room operations based on production schedules.
  • Fulfill in-stock orders and maintain up-to-date inventory records for the warehouse.
  • Assist operators and take on production operator responsibilities during breaks and as scheduling requires.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop floor and workspace at all times, completing sanitation and housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Work in accordance with relevant requirements, including GMP, AIB, OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA, and internal safety guidelines.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
Preferred Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience in flavor, ingredient, food, or chemical manufacturing is preferred.
  • Forklift operation skills are highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
  • SAP bar coding/scanning experience is an asset.
  • Experience using RF scanners and labeling systems is beneficial.
  • Basic math, reading, and record-keeping skills are essential.
  • Basic computer skills, including competency in MS Office products.
  • Knowledge of ingredients, including color, odor, order of addition, and other quality factors.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
