Job Description

The Regional Operations Manager for Latin America is responsible for leading the operational strategy and execution of clinical trials in the region. This includes developing and implementing strategies to optimize clinical trial delivery, operational performance, and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and oversight of Country and Site Operations across the LATAM region.
  • Develop and implement specific operational strategies to enhance trial planning, execution, and completion.
Operational Management:
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of clinical trials in the LATAM region, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and local regulations.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional operations team, including CCSLs, Clinical Project Managers, CRAs, CRMs, and CMLs.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth among team members.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, investigators, site staff, regulatory bodies, and patient organizations.
  • Represent the company at local industry, scientific, and patient organization meetings, advocating for clinical programs and fostering external partnerships.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in clinical operations management, preferably in Latin America.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, with knowledge of local cultures and customs.
