Linux Support Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Linux support engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux troubleshooting, a passion for open source technologies, and excellent communication skills.

This is a remote role, and the successful candidate will be working from home, providing technical support to customers and colleagues alike. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, able to work independently, and has a strong commitment to delivering high-quality support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling technical cases, identifying and resolving issues, and providing solutions to customers. They will also be expected to contribute to knowledge base articles, ensuring that shared knowledge and lessons learned are available to customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A strong background in Linux troubleshooting, including experience with collecting logs and stack traces, and fine-tuning by editing configuration files.
  • Experience with Linux server administration, programming fundamentals in any language (bash, Perl, Ruby, Javascript, C or C++, Go), networking (bonding, firewalling, bridging, switching, network file system tuning, MTU issues, etc.), and virtualization/cloud computing concepts (provisioning, monitoring, orchestration, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • A strong track record of delivering high-quality support, with a focus on customer satisfaction and resolution.
