Procurement Strategist

We are seeking a skilled procurement professional to lead our direct and indirect material procurement, contract manufacturing, and chemical tolling activities within the LATAM region.

This role aims to achieve cost reduction and cash flow targets aligned with regional Supply Chain and Business organizations.

• Sourcing target materials and services for the LATAM region in alignment with global procurement strategies and best practices
• Understanding assigned categories, including market analysis, sourcing strategies, request for proposals, negotiations, contract implementation, and supplier performance tracking
• Building and maintaining positive strategic partnerships with key suppliers
• Identifying, gaining commitment, and implementing profit improvement opportunities to create structured and sustained cost advantages
• Developing preferred supplier networks and achieving supplier consolidation
• Developing baseline costs and make vs. buy analysis modeling for data-driven decision making
• Providing forward-looking guidance on regional trends, threats, and opportunities for target categories
• Creating risk mitigation and contingency plans
• Collaborating with global and regional stakeholders, including Sourcing, Supply Chain, R&D, Marketing, and other internal teams

• Overseeing regular supplier audits and measuring supplier performance; managing intermittent supply issues and supporting planning organization for supplier compliance
• Coordinating with the broader Global team as necessary
• Managing SAP Workflow items (vendor requests, material requests, etc.)
• Utilizing e-technologies such as Coupa, SFDC, reverse auctions, and others
• Ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety, and Responsible Care programs

• Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English
• Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field (e.g., Business, Supply Chain, Science, or Engineering)
• 3-5 years of relevant functional experience in sourcing, supply chain, process excellence, and project/program management
• Experience with ERPs, supply chain collaboration, and e-procurement tools like SAP, Salesforce.com, Tableau, and others
• Excellent knowledge of typical professional computer programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work effectively in a geographically distributed organization
• Hands-on problem-solving mentality
• Ability to work in a matrix environment
• Strong negotiating and project management skills

• Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills
• Proven track record of driving results and influencing cross-regional and cross-functional teams
