Senior Attorney

Shape Digital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Attorney to join our team. As a Senior Attorney, you will play a critical role in providing legal assistance and support to all areas of the company, on demand, as well as taking initiative to proactively advise relevant management of legal issues of interest to the company.

• Legal Assistance and Support: Provide legal assistance and support to all areas of the company, on demand, and take initiative to proactively advise relevant management of legal issues of interest to the company.
• Risk Assessment and Management: Support Shape Leadership in the risk assessment of legal issues and strategies to manage identified risks within proposals, contracts, and subcontracts, and overall business operations of Shape.
• Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including but not limited to client contracts/subcontracts/consortium/joint venture terms and conditions to ensure conformity with applicable laws and identify deviations from accepted Shape risk policy, practice, and any unusual business or significant legal risks.
• Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct independent analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of applicable principles and precedents to develop solutions to legal problems.
• Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with Human Resources and Finance to assist with the identification and resolution of relevant legal issues impacting Shape, and communicate effectively with outside counsel and other stakeholders.
• Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with legislative changes that may affect Shape, and provide legal opinions on complex issues through analysis of case law and legal research.

• Education: Law Degree (Post-Graduation and continued education on matters relevant to job performance are expected).
• Certifications: OAB – Brazilian Bar Association.
• Experience: Experience as in-house counsel of at least years. Familiarity with Intellectual Property, patent, and copyright desired. Overall ability to provide legal advice, draft, and negotiate contracts of various kinds, from day-to-day work orders to complex agreements. Experience in conducting interface with outside counsel and coordination and control of legal procedures of various kinds.
• Skills: Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in both Portuguese and English. Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
