About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at State Street. As a valued partner in our Foreign Exchange trading businesses, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk, as well as cultivating a framework of practices that enables a balance of commercial considerations with risk excellence objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and analyze risks, developing strategies to mitigate them
  • Coordinate across different areas, regions, and groups to resolve risks
  • Assist with the management and execution of risk management programs, including product risk assessments and control monitoring
  • Advise and support business change initiatives, projects, and the remediation of control gaps and deficiencies
  • Work with business teams and second and third lines to establish and maintain a complete control inventory
  • Support the assessment, implementation, and adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines prescribed by corporate functions and business partners
  • Assist with the facilitation of the regulatory change management process
  • Establish and monitor Key Risk Indicators and create reporting for governance committees
Requirements
  • 1-3+ years of direct experience in risk management, compliance, or audit
  • Relevant experience with operational and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge and experience with risk assessments, control design, and effectiveness
  • Independent strategic thinker with an understanding of regulation and operational risk
  • Strong organizational awareness with ability to facilitate and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to collaborate and work across multiple stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and a propensity to drive issues toward resolution
