Job Opportunity:
A seasoned Compliance Expert is sought after to assume a pivotal role within our organization in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
- Develop and execute strategies to mitigate competition and antitrust risks.
- Provide expert legal counsel on competition law matters, encompassing mergers and acquisitions, business practices, strategic partnerships, and regulatory investigations.
- Monitor and interpret changes in competition laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant with pertinent statutes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Commercial, and Operations departments, to guarantee adherence to legal and ethical standards.
- Conduct internal training sessions on competition laws and antitrust practices for employees and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement strategies to minimize competition and antitrust risks.
- Offer specialized legal advice on competition law matters.
- Remain current with developments in competition laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on competition laws and antitrust practices.
Requirements:
- Law degree with a specialization in Competition Law or related fields.
- Active registration with the Bar Association.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in legal positions, focusing on competition and antitrust.
- Extensive knowledge of competition laws and regulations, including Brazilian and international legislation.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Experience in corporate environments or large law firms is preferred.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
