About the Job

As a Sustainability Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement programs that advance our commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2040.

This role offers opportunities to shape the future of sustainable transportation, drive meaningful impact through data-driven initiatives, and innovate solutions in an emerging field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and track robust emission reduction strategies across transportation networks and facilities.
  • Analyze and monitor carbon emissions trends, generating regular reports on progress toward emission reduction goals.
  • Design and manage incentive programs for carriers adopting low-or zero-emission vehicles.
A Day in the LifeData Analysis & Monitoring
  • Monitor dashboards for emissions tracking and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented programs.
  • Generate insights from transportation emissions data and develop implementation roadmaps for approved strategies.
Strategy Development & Implementation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement community engagement initiatives aligned with the Transportation business.
  • Evaluate potential clean transportation technologies and solutions.
Carrier Program Management
  • Develop and manage incentives based on defined program metrics, maintaining strong relationships with carriers and providing ongoing program support.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Present progress updates and key findings to leadership, participating in industry working groups and sustainability forums.
  • Share best practices and success stories internally and externally.

The Sustainable Transportation team is a newly established division within Amazon's Transportation organization. Our mission is to establish a reverse logistics operations program structure, maintaining our commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.
